I've lost weight
I'm not sure how much, because I haven't been weighing myself regularly.

But I was noticing that the sleeves of the red silk shirt I use as a pajama top were falling over my wrist and getting in the way if I didn't push them up. And I'd had to tighten my bra straps.

So I looked. I've lost in my upper arms. Also in my hips and thighs, but I wear petite-length pants, so I didn't notice. But the t-shirt that used to be snug around the hips now falls loosely. And my face is thinner. I still have a double chin, but now my cheeks don't look fat.

And it's been completely painless. I haven't been dieting, but I have been watching what I eat and trying to keep track of calories. I haven't been depriving myself.

I still need to increase my activity level; I'd like to have better endurance by the time Worldcon comes around.

Hurrah! Losing weight without depriving yourself must be a great way to do it.

Thank you.

And this way, instead of being frustrated because the weight takes so long to come off, I'm astonished at how well it worked while I wasn't paying attention.

A frappucino has too many calories to have with breakfast -- but AS breakfast, it's not bad.
